Hi, I bought a relatively expensive targeted, opted in, email list that I want to send a message to. I basically am sending an invite and hoping .5-1% of this list will opt-in to my newsletter. Is there a way to do this? Is there any software I can use to do this or a special way to warm up a server? Its a 1-time thing, I'd appreciate any guidance or help with the matter.
not sure of any software that will do it.. maybe those e-mail marketing sites will help, i've checked MailChimp and it will cost you $8000+ for 2 million recipients while ConstantContact does not show pricing for 2M recipients they will ask you to call for pricing.. or you can create a script that will send your email. it will run using a cron job, maybe run it every 10mins with 500-1000 emails per run.
Hi, I would say you can try with the email marketing service providers, and also check for the mass mailing software will capable of doing that.
Any legitimate business that sends out multiple E-mails or newsletters uses a host server to bring their information to their clients. This is a business that sells this service, there are fees invovled. Depending on how many addresses and/ mails you need to send, and how often will affect the service charges.
Exactly what I was going to say. It drives me crazy when I sign up to a list for something I may be interested in and all of a sudden I'm getting emails from others because they sold me off. Needless to say, I unsubscribe from all of them including the first one.

What's expensive to you? I'm willing to bet you didn't pay much for it. Unless you paid $XX,XXX+ I can't see of any reason for a company to sell a OPT-IN multi-million email based list to a stranger that can absolutely destroy their reputation and the trust their users have in them. What you have is probably a bunch of random email addresses that are YEARS old and have been slammed by hundreds of wannabe internet marketers. You wasted your $5..$10...$100....$2,000... There is no sure way of sending 2million emails with the guarantee they will be received by the users. Your email system may fail on delivering... the receiving system may fail receiving or blacklist you for flooding them... and if your emails are received the majority will default to the JUNK/BULK folder along with dozens of other crap send every day to those customers. If you could simply buy a list of emails and easily send out an automated email with a click of a button and make a million dollars we would all be millionaires......but this isn't 1992 anymore...
