    a magic word was spoken...sending out 1000 e-mails is relatively easy, but delivering 1000 e-mails is completely another story...

    Using Google to simply send 1,000 emails an hour is not possible. One possibility is to start a group, ask members to join and once they join then Google has no problem with you sending the emails. There are other options to generate traffic to your website as well, and I suggest that you also look into those if that is the primary reason for you to send emails. Otherwise use email marketing tools if the cost make sense.
    Google is very serious about this stuff and they can ban you for many things, be cautious of what you do with mighty Google :)
