I've done lots of escrow transactions, haven't had any serious issues with them. Had a few transactions that got cancelled and some that lasted a really long time due to very slow buyers/sellers and a bunch of other issues. Also frequently had to contact their support, they are usually very responsive and accommodating. E.g. when you need to change payment terms mid transaction, or want to push the funds directly from a selling transaction to a buying one. Of course you also need to make sure you are dealing with a reasonable buyer/seller.

I'm curious what exactly happened there in your case that you had to threaten with a lawsuit? Did the buyer change his mind mid transaction or something?

Also on a separate note, when selling a site it's important to present the stats in a proper and organized manner. Here are some tips on making proper adsense screenshots - unfortunately mostly sellers don't follow these, which often causes doubts for a buyer and makes it look riskier than it is. Buyers will be willing to pay a higher price if you can provide better stats and proofs.

Yeah, their recent addition. It's actually a great feature, gives buyers much more confidence.
Concerning the screenshots this is not only for flippa sales, but even with this flippa feature sellers are still expected to upload screenshots. It's nice to see the graph and pageviews.
