Hi Everyone, A couple of months ago I decided to go ahead and write an ebook, as I thought that this was a great way to finally sell my own product. I chose the niche of bonsai trees for several reasons - i am interested in it, there are a lot of beginners in this area as well as fanatics, and it is the kind of hobby that you have to pay money for to start off (eg. book, club...) So, I wrote the ebook as well as two bonus ebooks, and put up the website beginnerbonsai.com I wrote up several landing pages to use for a/b testing and set up an adwords account. I continually tweeked the ads and was finally achieving a 3% ctr. I was paying very little per click and got a good google landing page ranking. I created a comprohensive list of keywords, excluding the word free, as well focus on words like ebook and guide and manual. I also built a small opt-in subscriber list, but did not receive any sales to them. I spent over $100, but unfortuantly I did not receive a single sale, even with over 600 visits. I have pretty much given up until I can find out what I have done wrong? I would like to get even at least...
You just gotta look for the people interested in the niche. Search for forums associated with that topic, or find affiliates that are looking for small niche opportunities. Also, have you tried PPC advertising with it? You get full profit, so you should be able to make some profitable campaigns.
I am planning on writing some ebooks and am also interested in how to sell them. It seems to be that your bonsai market can be found somehow. What about putting the ebook on these sites? public.interlingua.co.uk ebooks.com clickbank.com www.appbid.com/ebooks payloadz.com forums.onlinebookclub.org lulu.com
I have not tried selling it on warrior forum because it is not really the right topic. I am selling it through paydotcom.com, and have tried approaching some of the bigger forums about bonsai trees without any response. The url is beginnerbonsai.com
Oops, sorry, you stated your url in your first post. Missed it. Your url got directed to this: http://www.theswingmaster.com/index2.html[/url]
I'm going have to say that your sales page needs a lot more work. I'm sure your ebook is great, but your landing page just doesn't make me want to buy.
