How to Sell Domain names?

Discussion in 'Domains' started by cityit, May 18, 2006.

    Hello,

I have a good no. of domains registered at registerfly, namecheap and directi
Now I want to sell some of those.
    After I find a buyer

how do I trasnfer those domains to that buyer?

Are there any additional charges while transferring those domains, if yes who pays the transfer fee?

Do the charges differ for each registrar?
how do I transfer domains from registerfly to godaddy or some other registrar.

    Thanks in advance :)

    Tony

If you do an inhouse push, the transfer doesnt involve any fees, your simply transferring the domain to a different account with the same registrar. I know this is the case with registerfly and namecheap (and most other domain registrars), I havent used directi before so couldnt say for sure with them.

ok thanks. I will read more at directi.

If the buyer doesnt have a account with my domain registrars.. who pays for the transfer charges?

    In directi,

If you go to the domain management page, there is a button "move services".
clicking that, it will ask you the customer id and user name of the other person to whom you want to move it . (same directi a/c obviously).

ust fill in his customer id and user name , submit, the domain will be moved to his account.
