How to sell 1,000 domains in 3-4 months?

Hi! I own about 1,000 domains now, and many of them would be expired in 3-4 months. I got a good discount when I first got these domains, and I thought that I would be able to sell them easily. However, I have learned the domains do not get sold just because of the names but also the traffics.

I own many three-letter domains, but most of them are dot me and dot mobi. Out of these 1,000 domains, a little more than 100 domains are dot com. Anyway, if I should sell them in bulk, where and how should I do them? I have been posting some of these domains on ebay and some domain forums.

 

you can consider selling some of your domains to those who already are existing owner of the .com versions of your .mobi and .me domains.


it might be a bit hard to be selling all the .mobi and .me domains but of course, you can try selling the really good and generic and one words ones on sedo or ebay or digitalpoint

 

digital point domain section is best for domain selling , name drive and olx is useful for batter price . and u can find in google , this is best way for ur problem ...

Or list them on sedo.com for free...

 

Try places like dnforum and sedo. If you want to get rid of all 1000 a bulk deal with a good price might be your best bet.

Actually I prefer to sell dot com by myself, but I'm more concerned about other extensions. I will plan to send a list of dot com, net, and org to those of you who request, though.

I would say keep away from wasting any money on .mobi & be very careful what type of .me names you buy. I don't like .me names, but some of them do sell for some good dollars. Random 3 letter .me or .mobi names won't do well IMO.

 

I wish I had read your comment before my investment. I bought a lot of them already, and you are also right that some could get sold with good dollars. I sold some for $xxx each, but I still hold a majority of LLL .me and .mobi names. At this point, I think that I would let them expire, but I will try my best first to sell them as many as possible. Thank you for sharing this insight!

 

The fastest way to sell domain that are near to expire is selling them for really cheap, sometimes below the reg'ed price.

This is not the most advisable solution and obviously the less profitable, but if you don't have really good names, the time will keep passing on and when the names are in the last month before expiration it's really hard to sell them.

I would try Bodis.com to see if you have any luck selling quick and not that cheap.

 

fscisum I am starting multiple niche sites at the moment and would be interested in what domains you have in .com .net and .org as .me and .mobi would not be advisable for me. pm me the list.

@Mystique - That's a great point! Actually, I have been listing most of my domains for $10-15 at GoDaddy and NameCheap's marketplaces, and some of them have been sold! Actually, now I plan to lower the prices in order that I would clear my portfolio faster. Anyway, do you have some tips on selling domains on Bodis? I just registered a few days ago, but I was confused a bit.

@GORF - Thank you for your suggestion! I want to sell my domains here real bad, and that's why I have been very active at DP. I got two likes before DP's backdating a few days ago, but I lost one after that. I will continue to be very active here!
