How to select suitable kew words.

I am working on web directory. It is now complete. How can I choose best keyowrd for this.

 

You probably wanna use google adwords keyword tool.

It can provide you with a good estimation regarding the search volume of the keywords you choose.

 

It is good but when I search words it give me a lot of words about more than 100 thousands search a month. When I search these words in google it give me more than 10 million results. How it is possible to become on the top.

Well, that's all fine with the keywording tools, but your website is specific - it is a directory - so you will be able to use specific keywords only for pages without user content. Other pages will have a quite random semantic core as they fill with user info..

For starters, don't go lower than 1,000 searches per month. However, there are keywords that get only a few thousand searches (even less than one thousand), but it is better than "No Enough Data" IF it shows some Advertiser competition (sometimes these are the keywords that get the most competition (60% - 100%).
