Here is a tip for keep your paypal safe.

    1) Create a new email id
    2) Add this email to your paypal as secondary email
    3) Make this new email as your primary email on paypal
    4) Use this new email only to check paypal transactions and use this only on your private pc
    5) Never use this new email with 'save password' option on your browsers.
    6) Never give this new email id to anybody
    6) And finally use your new secondary email (ie: your old primary email) as your paypal transaction id.

Yes, Paypal secondary email can be used for receiving funds. Cheers

If you are not using this email id except for paypal purposes then you won't get any email spams :)

All this advice is worthless without THE MOST IMPORTANT thing that you failed misserably to mention.

    USE A SECURE PASSWORD!
DO NOT use the password for ANYTHING else.
    The password MUST be a mixture of A - Z, a - z, 0 - 9 and characters and in my opinion at least 15 long

You are supposed to make this fresh email id as your primary email and your transactions should go with secondary email id (your old email)

Well, Once your payments are on Hold From Paypal, Secondary emails also wont do any good.

It Would Protect Our acc from Hackers.. :)

But Nowadays paypal screw people more than Hackers Does. All these Limitations and Holds. Mine is on hold with $500+ and will be released on 29th.. Well, No tips can protect us from that :(

Holds are not anything related to security. That's all are about personal deals.

Never access Paypal from a shared / Public PC if possible. If you do, make sure that you erase all browsing history and cookies before you log off.

You are absolutely correct. One should always have a unique PW for his paypal account and never look to use the same anywhere else. This password has to be absolutely exclusive and should be entered only after double checking the paypal address in the browser! :)

    This post is useless!

Ultimately what's the point of being careful? To avoid losing money I suppose.

Read my post "Paypal Abuse" and find out why it's useless to be careful with your Paypal account.
