Do a google search for anything. After search results are returned web history link appears in top right corner. You can change by using that link for both signed in to google and not signed into google. So you may need to play with the web history link both while signed in and signed out.

When searching in Google make sure you're not log in to your gmail account so that you can see the real rankings of your site.

I think you have signed in in Google so it saves your statistics and your searches. You can sign out from your Google account and start searching again. So you can search it not based on your previous searches.

If you want to see the actual rankings in google for your targeted keywords, dont sign in to your gmail account. Remove all cookies and search in google for the keywords. If you are using IE frequently then start using firefox or other chrome to check the results. Also try getting on some proxy servers so your ip changes to some other country, then search for the same keywords again in IE and firefox, I am sure you will get different results.

You can also disable customised search results based on the user's activity which can be found on the upper right corner Web History when you're Googling.

In my own experiences, if you didn't log into your Gmail account, Google would not remember your behaviors. Also, cookies might be the main issue. Clearing your browser before your new search would be necessary.
Of course, add-ons like "rank checker" would be another nice choice.

    Have a nice day,

Jst simplest way to see our keywords or sites position on Google Search Result. you have to never search when you are logging to your gmail A.C. Clear your browser. then after search what ever you want to search.

Delete the history from Tools > clear recent history, if you are using firefox or Tools > Internet Options if you are using net.
