I need more information...as I'm not sure what you are looking for. To my knowledge there is no real way to find "dropped" sites, save maybe using the "wayback machine" or possibly looking up slow to update DMOZ clones.

And how exactly is this going to help you?

The auto tools have probably detected the issue and it has been removed for attention by editors and if it hasnt yet been detected, theres a great chance that when the content is changed, it will then be detected.

There are far more valuable things to spend your time on, for seo purposes, than chasing dropped domains from dmoz.

Why would dmoz advise of what websites they have removed from their directory?

Just build a site that provides good quality, unique content and eventually, it may be included, either by your suggesting it or by an editor seeing the site and publishing it.

You are simply after a way of getting into dmoz via a scam, but be assured, at some stage it will be detected, the site would be removed and you wasted all your time for nothing. Do something worthwhile and put your time into building a great site, rather than a poor scam.

    Cheers :)

It may be a good point to keep in mind, if you buy a domain that is listed in DMOZ you run a VERY high risk of getting said domain dropped from the directory... especially if you are not buying the content that goes under said domain.

    Well said Q.

I also think that there are so many people focused on getting a link in the directory and focus less on the content on the site they want listed.

Yes, as an editor I would not be amused to find your "New" link pointing to a site that was not the original.

Its far from a new idea. People make a DMOZ listing a selling point down in domain sales, and others have compiled lists (that generally get into the hands of the ODP and all get removed).
