one of my friend (male) was married . he was living in india .After few years his wife started blackmailing him for money . She demanded $100000 and said if he is not going to give him $100000 usd she will approach the police and register a false dowry case againt him .Ofcourse my friend had not that much money . So one day his wife stole all of his Fixed deposit certificates and gold and then also registered false dowry case against him . Due to this insult and shock , his mom died (due to heart attack) . Also his father is about to die because of pressure of police /society etc . ... now he is in jail , police is torturing him , he has already sold his house to pay bribe to get bail . so middleman took all the bribe and he has not even a penny left with him . but still his bail is denied .. So these cases normally takes 15-20 years of conviction and he has to spend that time in jail . so he is planning for suicide too or will die with police torture or mental depression etc etc ., because he has already approached various human right organisations and noone helped him . So any suggestion for him ? or is suicide is only alternative * in india if a girl launches voilance/dowry/rape complaint againt any man , it makes man automatically guilty . that means law automatically assumes that girls donot lie and man have committed crime . No investigation is done before arresting anyone . just a one complaint is enough for it .Also in legal trial man have to prove girl is lier . women need not to prove that man have committed that crime . law assumes men r guilty
He must have done something pretty bad, for her to be in a position to blackmail him like that. Either that, or he's excessively scared of what people think of him. The mind boggles.
no he done nothing wrong . She was threatning him of misuse of law according to which police arrest men if girl launches compaint of voilance/abuse/rape/dowry . ( girl need not to prove it , our laws believe girls) . So if girl launches such compaint you are guilty
I cannot judge anyone, who knows maybe the guy actually did something to the girl for her to *hate* him that much. Only thing I can say by reading what you said is that indian law needs to improve a lot. Hope things go well for your friend...
