How to save someone from getting ripped off ??

    Hi guys,

    This is with reference to a recent transaction or you can say incomplete order which is awaiting payment on our online store. A guy called John Mark got in touch with me through email for completion of the payment through a credit card and he also submitted 2 Credit card details which is really suspicious.
    Reason it is suspicious is:
    1) He wants his own shipping company which is at Ghana to handle the shipping of this order.
    2) We pay the shipping company the amount they quoted for this order. ofcourse only after they pay us through the credit card.
    3) His registration details with our store is totally different than the one on Credit card.. he tried to order two times and both the times it is different.
    both of the address is of USA and the shipping address is of Ghana.
    4) Now most worst part is his IP address shows JAPAN

    I am sure this is a stolen Credit card details. So I asked him why so much of difference in the details provided by him.. for which he said if you want to accept the payment or not. if not than he will find someone else for this business.
    Now ofcouse I am not going to process this order but I am finding a way on how to save the guy who owns this credit card.
    Is there a way to find out ??
    If not than that poor guy will be ripped off Royally. Since we as legitimate online store have decided not to accept the payment which really is a huge amount now he will try someone else to get it charged.

    Contact Visa if it is a visa and let them know the card number being used and the shipping address. Tell them what you are seeing. I have done this before and they already knew the card was stolen because of another transaction taking place.

    Yes,for this case,you should directly contact the CC issuer bank to confirm the identity of the CC owner.

    Well now those people are not responding anymore since they now know that I am aware of the illegal transaction they are trying to do with our online store..

    I think now they will goto someone else and try getting it done.
    Really feel sorry for the guy who owns this Master Card.
