Why don't you use the internal Win2003 VPN Server ??
I've setup a VPN Server two weeks ago and it works very well.

BUT I think there's no chance to change the VPN port on a win2003 server listens to from 1723 to another port. so this could be a problem.

    Here is a tutorial I've used: http://www.onecomputerguy.com/networking/w3k_vpn_server.htm
