    Looking for suggestion and guidance, my question is:

    How to restrict Google bots temporarily or deliver message to bots, that site is in under construction or renovation, without affecting the current SERPs ?

    Please provide me some good suggestions and ways to do this.
    Is it possible through robots.txt file or any other server side implementations?
    Any live example would be better.

    Any suggestions would be appreciated... :)
