How to Restore the Full Backup Taken from another Server?

    Hi,

    I just taken the full backup file, which full backup file saved in root directory.

    i just downloaded to my desktop. and i try with new hosting cpanel by choosing restoring the full backup file. but there is no restored files in new server. only new backup folder created as backup-2.22.2009_06-46-56_xxxx

    please support me to restore the full backup file to my new server.

    Hi,

    You can not restore full backup from your end. cPanel full backup can only be restored by root user. You will need to provide the backup copy to your host and they should restore it on your behalf.

    Go to your cpanel. Click on Restore a full Backup . Fill the username of the account you wish to restore.

    I think it work on cpanel whm. You need to contact your host provider.

    Correct me if I am wrong.

    You should have the root privileges to restore a full cpanel backup. Otherwise you need to contact your hosting provider.
