    Motto:
"- Beware, he has a gun!
    - Don't worry, I'll use my brain. Is as big as any bullet."
The quote is from Jane Austen's Mafia! http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0120741/

You forgot your WordPress' admin password and looking for a script to reset it? Do any of the following situations look familiar to you?
    • You found scripts, but they don't work for your version of WordPress
    • You have to manually modify the database
    • The only site where you can download the script is offline and need the solution now
    • You tried to reset the password, but you didn't receive the confirmation eMail.
    • You use a shared hosting account, and you don't have SSH?
    • You found the perfect script, but it's not free.
The truth is that you don't need any script! Just log in as administrator, using any WRONG password, then change the password to the one you wish.

It's free, fast, reliable and fully explained. Good luck!

Why not just click "Lost your password?" link of login page.
In next page enter your correct email id and your password will be mailed to your email id.

    For several reasons.
    1. Many people never got that eMail, for various causes
    2. As strange as it seems, sometimes you can't access the eMail address of someone who asks you to repair his/her WordPress. That persons gives you the problem, the FTP account and, if you are lucky, the money :). It's your job to fix the issue with as little tools as possible.
    3. Other times you can't remember / access that address yourself. Not to mention that receiving the password, in clear, by eMail, is not one of the best security policies.
