Amazon provides top 100 selling products in each category. Pick a category and drill-down. We have used this technique many times in years past to identify books, vhs, cd, etc. to watch for in our local thrift stores. It is said, scruitinizing the niche magazines offered is a useful technique. Also, there is a report on Buyers Waiting that can be downloaded, but it is somewhat esoteric to find and I have to dig myself to find link each time. eBay has closed auctions which give you good ideas about market conditions over last 30 days. Use the advanced search and check the completed auctions checkbox. eBay also provides some reports for What's Hot. Haven't download them in quite awhile, but they are there. Then, from the home page bottom, there are things like Most Watched which could be looked at... but, the top stuff is usually some kind of an exercise in getting the highest ranking... and drilling down often does not seem very helpful. There! Good Luck! Have Fun!
