Is there any way to report a website which is in clear violation of Amazon's TOS? I found only one link (http://www.amazon.com/gp/help/customer/display.html?ie=UTF8&nodeId=508088#copyright) on the amazon.com site. Isn't there any simple way to report without going through all these steps they describe there? Thanks.
I am pretty sure what you have linked is to report copyright infringement for written works like books. Did someone steal material from a book you wrote?
I was only thinking from an affiliate point of view, and forgot about books there! No I didn't write a book, but someone stole articles from my website and other websites, and doesn't have any other content on his site. All stolen! How can I report them? At least with Google Adsense it's easy to do that... Thanks for replying.
None of the affiliates deal with that. You can contact them but I doubt they will do anything. Best thing to do is contact the site owner and threaten legal action. If that does not work, trace their hosting account and contact their host and provide proof that they stole your stuff. Many host will suspend their account. You can find out the information at http://whois.sc
Thanks allout, I just found something about this in the Help section: https://affiliate-program.amazon.co...ssoc-center-2&pf_rd_r=&pf_rd_i=assoc_help_t14 I will report them to the host, but first I want to make sure that they're banned. That's how mad I am!
About that link above, I don't know why it's amazon.co.uk. I was browsing amazon.com at the time. LOL I must have been really sleepy at 4 am! The amazon.com page has a contact link, so here: https://affiliate-program.amazon.co...ssoc-center-2&pf_rd_r=&pf_rd_i=assoc_help_t15 And an update: I contacted them, and after about 20 hours, someone from Amazon came to my website. So the great news is that they at least read the emails we send them. Kudos for that!
I don't even know if it's possible to check if it's been banned or not. They didn't have any banners, just product links (which are completely hidden, mind you). If I read the Operating Agreement right, then yes it's against their policy. I don't think Amazon would want to associate themselves with such thieves.
