How To Reopen Thread That Has Been Marked Sold

Discussion in 'Support & Feedback' started by SEO-WATCH, Jan 18, 2011.

I recently have opened a thread on DP forum which is for some kind of service I sell after a while I have suspended this service and marked the thread like "This has been marked sold".

I want to reopen this thread now because the service is available again is this possible or not because I not want to open another thread and get infractions for duplicate thread.

    Kindly advice.

How to go around this problem I can bump my thread because I'm a premium member but I'm not sure if it appears white on the first page, because if it appears white like I expect nobody will click on it. When I open a new thread I get infractions because of duplicate reasons.

It's not possible to get around the problem because it's not available yet.

Not sure, I didn't check... but if they are duplicate threads, duplicate threads are not allowed.

This means I'm not allowed to open a new thread with similar or same service without infraction. Actually there should be some time frame in between like 2 or 4 weeks this would allow users more flexibility with opening a thread which is sales related.

Correct, duplicate threads have always been disallowed.

Can the thread be closed maybe that is a solution and after I can reopen a new one and I can use the new thread for this special service for months. I bumped the thread and it is fading somewhere at the bottom and does not get any attention.

I did not knew that the sold marked sign worked like this, also the infractions came as a suprise to me.

I have the same problem with SEO-WATCH and I think this happened with other sellers too. I don't know what to do with my product now. I think it should be possible to open new thread for products posted one or 2 months ago.

I mean that it's now white on the first page, so nobody will consult it. So I consider it lost. :( Can't you cancel the "sold" option? Or can I create a new one without receiving an infraction?

It is now possible to relist your thread . Simply bump it and select the option presented to you - problem solved .

Next allowed bump: Jul 29th 2011, 1:40 pm.

I bumped it yesterday, silly me...:( But thanks for the tip it will help me in the future.

Additional question : If I become a premium member, can I get my bump straight away?

As premium member you would have to wait 7 days from last bump.

:( Okay I guess I'll just give up with this then...thanks.

But if by any luck a mod/admin can reset my last bump that would be wonderful, and help my business big time. As I said it's been done yesterday and due to a silly move I'm stuck with an important thread closed.
