how to remove wp backlink

    in few websites i notice they don't have wordpress link on the bottom so how to remove wordpress link from the footer?

    by editing the footer of the theme and manually removing the link.

    You need to manually remove the link by editing the footer file.
    But keeping it on is a sign of respect for the software which you use for your blogs, for free....

    You may move it by editing the footer. It should be located in:

    ../wp-content/themes/default/footer.php normally. default stands for the theme name that you are currently using.
