    Hi,
I had wrong title and descriptions on some of my pages. I corrected them eventually. But in google it still shows the old title and description. Can any one suggest me how to remove that?

    Regards,
    Anne

    Hi Anne,

You cannot change the data of an already cached page. It's a snaphot of a past version of the page. When the spiders crawl the page it will auto-update. Try pinging your site or blog, come back and post the results to this thread so that those after you with the same issue will learn.

It is been a month I changed the title and meta desc. But still it is showing the same. In the webmaster i see the google activity on daily basis. So am wondering why the cached page is not been updated..
As I am new to the forum, am not able to post the link. coolgadgets4u.com is the site name.

    Regards,
    Anne

Go to your Google Webmaster Tools account, request for the removal of the URL, it will be removed from the index within 48 hours. Once its removed from the index, request for re-inclusion of the URL.

Note: Before you request for the URL removal, make sure that you have added the URL in discussion to the robots.txt file or page level blocking (<meta name="robots" content="noindex">)

    This should solve your issue.

    Peace,

    Christina

    Wait for some time.

Google will show it on next crawl of your website.
