How to remove tagline properly? will seo be hurt?

    i put a custom header on my site, now i have the ugly wordpress tagline showing through.

    how can i remove the blog tagline from my custom header and not hurt SEO

    what the right way?

    i know i can just leave it empty on in wp settings but is there a better way?

    login to your admin panel and then go to options. you will have the blog title and under that you will see the tagline. just remove that and save

    I just thought be removing the tagline that way iwould be hurting my SEO but guess no other way
