How to remove stickers from car?

I am buying a car and the previous owner put some horrible stickers on the trunk. They are old so they are really stuck and impossible to peel off. Any ideas of what product can I use to get rid of them?

Methylated spirit should react with the glue.

Any citrus-based adhesive remover will work too.

Get a Gel if possible and let it sit on the sticker for ten to twenty minutes and then it should come right off.

yeah, use citrus. That stuff is awesome. Take off as much as you can; spray some citrus cleaner on it, let it soak in, then go at it with a razor blade. If you do it right, you wont' scratch anything and it'll come with little effort.

Try WD 40... Not sure if it will hurt anything so try it on a tiny spot first and let it sit for a few minutes...

    More like this:

Orange glo and those are too diluted. If you go to an office supply store, they'll have it. Think industrial. Knock your ass out if you smell it too long.

wd40 doesn't dissolve the sticky stuff though, the citrus does.

You can try holding a blow dryer up to it for a minute or so, then try peeling it off with your fingers or a razor blade. (I used to work in shipping and that's how we removed labels/stickers from boxes, except we used a heat gun instead of blow dryer. Similar though)

    :)

Go to a detailer. They can do it without ruining the finish - have your car detailed while your there. You'll feel doubly happy

I used nail polish remover to get one removed from my car.
Didn't do any damage to my car.
But, I don't know for sure. My brother said I was crazy to put it on.

    But, it did work.
    :)

that can damage the finish. What you have to understand - even if you dont visibly damage it, you might be degrading the clearcoat, and in a year or two the paint will start to flake off -
