Well I have made a long test with DP ads, several months, and honestly it's not working for me.. Lately I had someone paying via paypal and then bothering me about his ad not displaying and made a paypal complaint for a refund for a mere $25.. I used DP Ads because I don't want to deal with that kind of crap, otherwise I would simply sell direct ads and manage it myself.. At least Buysellads.com don't bother me with anything. They take their share and deal with everything else regarding the ad buyers, just like adsense, and that's how it should be. I understand that DP ads are more than just displaying ads via javascript, but me using Drupal means at the moment I can only use it like every others, so until there's a drupal module for it to have same functionalities as wordpress and others.. So I'm removing DP ads javascript from my site just now and will forget about it until I hear real good things from users about it.. So I have removed the javascript, but should I remove it also from the DP listing? Is it enough to just remove the javascript and the DP Ads system will deal with removing my site from its listing? If I need to do something else, please some could kindly indicate me the link I have to click because I couldn't find any. I almost can hear the steps of another stupid ad buyer coming to hunt me again
You can set if you are accepting new advertisers or not here: http://advertising.digitalpoint.com/publisher.php?do=sites
Thank you, I have done it.. You know this link is a bit confusing, just like all such boolean links where you don't know what you're clicking for really, between accepting or refusing new ads.. I took a guess and clicked it, and the text changed, but it would be nice to have also some non clickable text which tells you what is the current state of the site, accepting or refusing.. or a more explicit text as the link, like "currently accepting new ads, click to refuse new ads" and then changes to "currently refusing new ads, click to accept new ads" I don't know if you get my point, just I find those text/links sometimes confusing, you click on them and they change the text, but you don't know if the text means what the status currently is or if by clicking on it you'll set the new status that is described. I don't think I'm alone in this situation, would be strange if I was.
