How to remove broken links?

    It depends how your website is built or where the broken links are.
    if its links to your website then that is a whole different ball game

    first determine which your websites links are broken? use "Fast Link Checker" and delete them, depends on your website structure that how you can delete them,

    Use Xenu to detect broken links at your site and delete broken links from ur site. If you have cache or index of those broken pages in Google, you can deleted them using Google webmaster tools.

    Google webmaster tools Dashboard -> Site configuration -> Crawler access -> Remove URL

    there are the seo tools available which point out exactly location of broken links.
    to find tool- you can search " broken link checker " on any search engine

    the very first you need to check it in fast link checker and if it is found you may simply delete it from your HTML pages.

    Don't remove broken links! If the old links has been replaced with new ones you must permanently redirect them (301 redirect) to the new URL. This way you will pass on the "Link Juice" and telling Google that the internal site has been moved and that this is it's new address.
