    I wish that topmost header of blogspot to disappear. How to do it?

    Are you talking about the navbar? Where people search and press "next blog" or the actual header?

    Yes, the navigation bar where you see "flag blog" "next blog".

    I can't remove the navigation bar. It seems the code has changed.

    Use

    #navbar {
    display:none;}

    Should work.

    Another way to do it, is to manually insert it in your template. But of course you will need to convert it to classic first.

    Find the <body> tag and put it in between <noembed> tag, that works for me

    Example:
    <noembed>
    <body>
    </noembed>
