Hello, I have a website with lots of bad backlinks on others sites, and most of sites don't allow me to remove that links, is there any other options to remove those links or any other options you suggest? Thanks, Rahul
Hi Rahul, You can try using the Google Disavow tool to remove those negative links affecting your site's ranking. Before you use the tool though make sure you read Google's Help page on using it. Hope that helps. Have a good day!
@Affilorama: Thank you so much for letting me know that, i haven't any idea about that before, and for sure i'll do that as you said for sure
I have tried Google Disavow tool to remove some bad links from my site a month ago but these bad backlinks are still showing in Links list. I do not know that the purpose is serve or not. Now what have to do
@rankwatch: same here dear, i didn't use Google Disavow tool yet, but, as you said that it didn't help. so my have to ask this "What have to do now" Seriously, this problem is really bad my site keep getting bad response from Google coz of those bad links.
Well for removing the bad links Google link disavow is there in the webmasters section. I have heard so many times that this tool is not worth so my suggestion is that don't waste your time to remove the bad links just make some good links for the websites with high PR websites. Your quality back links will again boost your website on the major search engines.
I'm sorry to hear that. At this point, I think it's best to move away from trying to get rid of the bad links. Instead, concentrate on creating more quality links to your site. Eventually the quality links will balance out the bad ones. Hope that helps. Have a good day!
Instead of waiting for bad links to fade, build up more good links to tip the balance back in your favor. By “goodâ€, I mean relevant, high-authority links – if your link profile is borderline, focus on quality over quantity for a while.
If there is few backlinks then leave it, concentrate on getting high quality backlinks, it would help of course!
@MIkeQ: I guess i should do as you said, i have to leave it and make some quality back links instead.
I wouldn't worry about it if you've got good quality back links. One of my sites years ago had a few "bad" links but I didn't see any affect on my rankings.
I have used Google disavow tool and removed some of bad links and then concentrate on quality backlinks for my site..It helped me to maintain a balance among backlinks..
I'd agree with Steve, get some better backlinks from new sources. Bad sites will soon drop off the radar anyway and you'll lose the bad links naturally.
If there is no way to remove bad or unnatural links then leave it and try to find high PR quality links and submit your website high pr sites. May be it helps to improve your site ranking.
You can't do anything to remove those backlinks, but believe me, those websites will still help you for you SEO. Now, just pay more attention and work a little bit harder to build some HIGH QUALITY backlinks and this will "tell" Google, "This website has now much popular backlinks and the SPAMMY ones are not a problem at all"
Identify which bad links need removal. Make adjustments to your website so it complies with Google's requirements. Submit a report to Google showing compliance and requesting reconsideration.
even i have one website which got lots of bad links.. such as blog comments spam.. and i am not able to delete them.. i am penalized from penguin update from March 2012.. already used disavow tool but it didn't help.. still trying to come out of penalty by updating the blog with unique content and trying to build backlinks also.. lets see how it goes.. will come back again if i get any good results..
