Thanks, guys. One more thing that I wanted to do eventually is now done.

Checklist grows shorter every day ;)

i've had the "advertise on this site" link up since the first day that it came out.

i've also had record high earnings every month.

so while it would be nice to customize the landing pages on a per-site basis, i see no logical reason to get rid of it entirely.

please tell us how that's worked out for you.

do all of your advertisers pay up every single month, like adsense does?

I said earlier that Advertise on this site only appeared on my site at the beginning of the month. So far and fingers crossed, this will be my all time ever best month to date with an increase in earnings of about 30% (if the daily average stays as high as it has so far).

Part of it has to do with a nice bounce back from Jagger but I have been run ragged for the last month and have made no changes to the site- The only other thing to explain the increase in AS earnings is that little tag line. I'll be keeping it.

Of course any business relationship comes with risk of non-payment, but there ways to protect yourself. Lots of very successful sites offer direct ads in addition to Adsense so I'm not sure why you'd question this as a valid form of generating income.

If you're making money off Adsense that's great, but why send advertisers to Google if you're not even going to get a commission out of that? If you understand your viewer demographics and have a good traffic you can pull in significant amounts of revenue through text ads, banners, promo pages, directory listings, etc. It's a smart move for any business to diversify their income source anyway.

I'd leave it on... you never know who is going to see your site and have cash.

I disagree with that. All they are doing is setting up a "maximum", meaning they pay no more than anybody else would. I think I have had two of two sites that I know of run these ads on my site.
One of them was totally unrelated to my site. I have a sports site, this was a jewerly store. There ads were all images, and annoying as hell.

I had no idea that I could remove this, and I will be moving it immediately.
