How to remove ads from Geocities

I was recently searching the internet for some info on how to bypass the ads script generated on Geocities page (for educational purposes. lol)

There was a lot of outdated stuff that didnt work, so I came up with a new method of removing the ads from Geocities. You can read more about how to remove ads from geocities on the site http://www.geocities.com/new_no_ads/

What I basically did was, kill the framesets and then disable the other ad scripts.

    Hope this (http://www.geocities.com/new_no_ads/) is "educating"

Well Geocities is providing free hosting in exchange for the ads. And, apparently the users agree to this.

No offense, but in my opinion, removing the ads would be like stealing, whether you think this is for educational purposes or not. It is their server after all.

Correct, As Geocities is giving free hosting, We must not remove that ads. And even the Ads are related to the content of the site too.
Yahoo can punish for the same.

I dont know if this works perfectly, the popups probably exist because the javascript is place above the <html> tag and i do not kno how to disable that.

I am not trying to host my site for free on Geocities or anything, i am just trying to find workarounds for fun :D ...not for serious commercial reasons!

Anyways, if this thread is annoying people, or innapropriate, some moderator can delete the post.

    I am not trying to
or anything like that. just for timepass...

Whatever the purpose, Geocities and other free webhosting services offer web space in exchange of the popus, suPpress them is against their TOS.

However you can use an online free proxy service to visit Geocities sites; due these services disable javascript, it is more likely you don't get popups and even some of their ads.
