I think the best you can do is report that link.
    Use this page: https://www.google.com/webmasters/tools/spamreport?pli=1

unless its on your website, i dont think you can do anything to remove it.
your best approach would be checking on posts like that and fetch over your views on it.

It's better not to think about link removal from Google SERPs. What you can do instead is try and build your online reputation. Start an online reputation management campaign for your website. Plan out the process properly and periodically start spreading the positive information on the same. The pages that are trying to tarnish your image will relatively fall short in number when compared to the pages created by you to build your reputation. But yes, this demands a lot of patience and planning. Don't overload the web with promotional information. It can hit you back. Let it come out in a controlled manner and gradually you will experience results in your favor.

Builld a whole bunch of social media profiles, add a link to your website, set the profiles up under your company or website name, participate and build those profiles, and if done right, i.e. build some back links to those profiles, that should shuffle the bad press down the list.

I don't think google will remove the links you are requesting them. Internet is open to everyone. anyone can post anything. (with some exclusions)

You cannot remove something just because they criticize you. We are not communist here.

If they are not saying the fact, or just infamatory stories, your first step will still be find the site and ask them to correct it first.
