Hey all, when doing keywords research, I always thought there is no one on the earth query exactly same keywords as others, i.e. when 100 ppl query keywords containing "free dog", they may input "how to get dog images for free", "free dog food", "free the dog, stop eat them", and thus in Google's keywords tool the "free dog" will show 100 search volume, and an idiot will setup a site around "how to get a free dog", then get nothing. And therefore, my question would be, how do you target a proper keyword which neither has multi-means nor too vague too general. What's wrong with having a site about free dog food? People searching for Free and Dog are going to find it won't they? Personally I'm not interested in Free Dogs or Hair Schools so I have websites about what I'm really interested in. Because of that I can put a lot of energy into original research which then provides me with unique content and has turned them into Authority Sites. Thus I get natural interested traffic and in the long run may make more just by volume of non-hpk clicks because I have interest in the site and can keep building it. Other people, however, will soon tire of hair schools and lose interest in the site, they won't be able to compete for the traffic as well, either.
Main thing is that do you know anything about niche , i know that forex and finance pays better but i am not writing on it because i cant update them daily . People visit your blog for more info about that niche and the information need to be update time to time . So create blog in those niche which you like the most and update it daily .
If you're targeting organic traffic like everybody else, then prepare to update your site/blog more often. Again, update your site with only quality content. You will be benefited not only from the spiders but also from viral marketing side. People talk to their friends and if they love your site so much, they will link to your site and thereby increasing your visibility.
ok, first, make sure your keyword is [popular] but not too popular till its impossible to compete. cancel out those low traffic keywords. second, make sure those keywords are [profitable]. i usually target $7 and above but $5 should be alright. if you don't want penny ads, you have to do this right. third, well you need to know [how many google ads] are targeting those keywords. this is a big one, cos if there's only 1 or 0 ads in your keyword then you're gone. i use a keyword software to do this. fourth, have some [relevance between your keywords], i.e dog training, dog online training, online obedience training. these are better than trying to cover a bigger scope such as dog food, dog shampoo, dog training.
