    hi all!
My website txtimpact.com has about 60% bounce rate in Google Analytics, it is really frustrating for me. The site is ranked on several keywords and traffic is also but sales report id too low. Is increased bounce rate is the real cause of less sales? I need quick help to reconstruct my home page of website.

analyze the keyword queries through which visitors found your page. What they were looking for? Did you have it on your page? Did they find what they were looking for?

    it depends
    1) say they were looking for query "how many litters in 5 gallons" or "whats my ip" and your page contained the answer - they got what they needed and never clicked another link on your site

    2) alternatively, if they were looking for "gadget A review" and you have the "gadget A" review split into multiple pages + comparison and reviews of related gadgets B,D, and Q - they would stay awhile to read more

    3) alternatively, they were looking for "gadget A review" and you have "gadget A price $14.99 0 user reviews" - they will leave since this is not what they were looking for

To be honest, when I visited your site, at first I had no idea what this is ...

One rule says that first attracted the attention of visitors the upper left corner of the screen. If they are not impressed usually leave it ...

My advice is that the basic explanation of the service that you offered to be clearly stated and design better settled, so that interested visitors to go further in the investigation ...

Gather all of the content to fit the screen without scrolling, and thence to the logical order navigation to other pages ...

I agree with atxsurf. Spreading the same topic over multiple pages is a great way to keep users on site. Also seeing a lot of text on one page can easily scare off a lot of users who are looking for quick answers.

Check your grammar. Good grammar helps offer a professional first impression to users, if they see bad grammar they may consider your site amateur or worse spammy.

The bounce rate is just a reflection of the appeal of your site or page that someone has landed on. If the content isn't appealing to them for that purpose for which they clicked on your link then they will leave and your bounce rate will increase.

View your site as a customer, viewer would. Does it appeal, grab your attention and keep you engaged.

Personaly I found the bounce rate can fluctuate greatly depending on the source of the traffic.

On an average the bounce rate of a particular site should be about of 40% to 50% lump sum. If you facing this situation that's maximum bounce rate to your site. you should check your keywords that's are relevant to your business or which keywords visitors are using to reach your site. A big reason may be your site design that;s user friendly or not

Following on average bounce rate I find it greatly depends on the source of the traffic. For example if you have a cart selling products and your traffic originated from a price comparison site or Google shopping the rate can swing dramatically being very high or very low. In this case the suggestions by webmaster0098 would be good with the emphasis on modifying your listings on those carts to improve bounce rate accordingly

first analyze from which source you bounce rate is high, if it is from Organic, then analyze you visits from keywords, their ranking in search engines and their landing page, once you analyze all this things, you will get your answer
