I want to transfer my old domains some folders(sections) and files to new domain i know it will be done by 301 redirects as i dont wanna lose my search engine traffic and also dont want that search engine paralize my site for duplicate contents so plz tell me how to perform 301 redirects.

I will use index file and some sections(folders) of old domain but want to 301 redirect for remaining sections(folders) and files in root as when any user or search engine will open my old domain section or file it should be redirected to new domain folder without harm of user and search engine traffic so plz tell me in details how to do 301 redirects for section folder and html and php files ?

As my english words spell in not good but hope you understand my problem and will help.

create .htaccess file in the root and setup rewrite with [L,R=301] option
