How to Recover Lost Google Traffic?

Hi, could anyone please give some suggestions on how to recover lost google traffic. I have four different content sites with different subdomains each. Two of them lost almost all Google referrals starting June 16th. I submitted one site to Google sitemaps about a week and a half ago, but still no help. The other two sbudomains lost almost all Google referrals starting June 30th. I have not changed anything else during this time on my pages and my referrals from Yahoo have been constant. All my pages can still be found on Google, but likely very low, as I am not getting referrals from them. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to recover this lost traffic from Google? Thanks in advance.

Is there anything you could possibly have done to trigger this problem? (That could be reversed)

Tweak your onsite optimization and check if you're linking to any banned sites. Also try to consistently build backlinks. If you can provide an URL, we can help you further :)

Best of luck to you, we all hate it when that happens :)

Have you done any research into your keywords lately? Maybe you've been out-competed.

Hi, thanks for the replies. Yeah, the problem with Adwords is that it not only drains your money, it also drains your time because you have to spend so much time optimizing the ad and making sure that enough people click on it. I'm not sure if I could have triggered anything, but I didn't really make many changes to the site during this period. I'll also try to tweak the onsite optimization and maybe get some more backlinks. I just tried a search into the keywords in my title, and Google seems to be pulling out pages that have the keywords in the body of the text. So maybe it's putting less emphasis on the <title> tag.

    Hi,

If you need some professional suggestions than you need to bring your patient to the doctors. List your site(s) and someone may be able to suggest you something good.

    Cheers

Adwords would be your best bet - other than that what about advertising your website in newspapers, magazines and on other websites with high traffic? If you have no budget then contact a few local newspapers and see if they are interested in interviewing you or pull of a publicity stunt ;)
