How to record YouTube live stream?

I thought it would be very easy to find but apparently, that's not the case. Since yesterday I am looking for software that will record YT live stream. FDM doesn't work. IDM doesn't work. VLC only records video and not audio. Found Firefox extension called "FDV" but it doesn't work. Looks like Camstudio works but apparently, there is a virus in it.

Maybe use screen capture software?

 

As pakanpak says, screen capture software. Rather than looking very technical into software, just record your desktop

 

Yeah I got OBS. I knew about it but I thought it is very complex. Now after using it I can say that's not the case and it is very easy to use. PERFECT!

If you use google chrome then there is extension screen video recorder.You can record youtube videos with the help of it IMO
