I used to use fraps, but it was too laggy, 'cuz my previous PC was an old one. So try it.

When I have done that in the past I have used FRAPS aswell, works well as long as you have a good PC.

Fraps works if you have a decent pc, you can try Xfire if they support the game.

Fraps will be the best one that fits on recording your game, but your PC must be high in terms of its specs I think because you are running two big programs at the same time.

Fraps is the best but you'll have to register or you'll get a nasty little watermark. Also I'm not sure how much of RAM and CPU Fraps uses so make sure you have it enough.

Capture from what? PC? PSP? DS? Console? Gameboy? Game & Watch?

There are quite a few free screen recording programs that work. I suggest you Google them :)

Fraps fails for me - when I'm at a 2560x1600 resolution the files are just too big, and selecting half size resolution means that any text is unreadable :p.

For desktop apps Screen Recorder Gold worked fine for me, for PC games I do suggest FRAPS too.

I don't know any possibilities to record console games but to set up a cam that records your screen, maybe the one from your cell phone or anything.
