Thanks for the post and I agree that big volume wins. 100+ articles sites are the best and are very stable, traffic wise. You can't rely on just a few big keywords, go for the long tail.
Have you ever used PPC to drive traffic to your best converting adsense pages? I got up to $500 per day using cheap PPC.
If you don't know what works and what doesn't work in trying to increase your adsense revenue... you are shooting arrows in the dark! Should have a right tracking tool which can reveal a great deal about your visitors and answer fundamental questions such as what they're looking for and what makes them 'click'. Once you've figured that out, bingo! you're on your way to big adsense bucks!
Hi Thanks for sharing such nice tips. I have a website with video contents and about 33000+ pages indexed with google and it makes about $10 per day with adsense with 200+ clicks. Its building up and it pays me good money sometimes. like $12 - $14 perday. But the tips you have shared made me think of making a new website and build a niche market for it which can make me $4 - $5 per day which is not bad at all for one website. Just wanted to share my thoughts. Thanks for the tips again. Good luck
Thanks. It gives me more ideas on my part. It really helps me a lot. and it will give me more confident to pursue especially now that i got some idea from you.
I understand where you are coming from and perhaps I didn't mention in details about tracking tool and keyword research in my starting post. Yes, you are right to say that we should always aim for keywords that are giving us revenue and use the tracking tool to find out what works. However, do remember that even if I have a huge website of 300+ pages, 80% revenue can come from just 20+ pages and 20% is from the reminder. Lastly, I always want to mention this, I want to build websites, not adsense sites. Google can tell.
If I say big website, I mean at least 300 pages of content. It should be 300+ pages of content and I am earning by this $5-$6 per day.
If you reached $100 per day, it is amazing.. How much visitors at that days reached to your site average per day?
I see... So you grow the site over time and there is no promotion. That is very interesting. I bet I could increase one of your site's revenue by 10x in 30 days with my promotional methods. I actually am testing your proposition with an autoblog. Right now it is up to 180 posts. When it gets to 300-400 pages, I'd like to see if it makes any money. Right now it does not make anything - $0.08 in the last two months. There is no promotion going on, let's see if anything happens. TomG. PS - Another popular technique is to pick a giant niche like weight loss and go for the really long tail, at least 4 words. First rank for the really long tail, say 10-20 keywords, move up a little to slightly more competition, 10-20 more keywords, and then up to moderate competition, another 10-20 keywords. This bottom up approach has worked for many of my colleagues.
Dear I would appreciate if you could also help me in this regard. I have 3-4 blogs but I am not earning thru Adsense. Kindly guide me in the right way.
Hey, hey... It's not 'no promotion'. It's minimal promotion. At the most I just submit the sitemap to Google Webmaster tool and submit 2-3 articles to Ezine Articles. That's all. I'll be keen to test your approach. Let's see...
Nice tips and discussion. Thanks Tommy for adding your thoughts, I enjoyed reading them (and the rest of this thread).
Great thread! I like the different techniques people employ to earn from AdSense.. a simple shift in my own strategy took me from a site I'd had up for 3 years (has TONS of content) that has only ever earned $100.. to a site I built and promoted for 2 weeks that now makes around $100/month.. Strategies can make a HUGE difference in your profits!
