How to reach the critical mass?

    Hello,

    I'm about to launch a social web site and I'd like to know how much I have to invest in money so that I reach the point where my traffic generates enough money to pay for further advertising that will generate even more traffic. I'm new to online advertising, what do you think I should do? Adwords and Adsense? Thanks in advance ;)

    I think only you can answer that question, because the answer depends on the details of your website. Namely, you want to compare the cost per unique visit with your conversion rates (how many people sign up and how many return how often) with how much money you earn per visit and per conversion.

    Create some of your own digital products and sell those on your site. It will put money directly into your Paypal account. Before you launch make sure you have a dedicated server or at least part of one. The type of site you mention takes a lot of server resources.

    Thanks. Actually I don't plan to sell products, I only plan to refer products and to advertise. My site has some places reserved for advertisements. The only problem is I don't know how much to invest in advertisement and where to invest my money to get the best ROI...

    I am in a simler boat as you my site has been up for just over a year it has a great core members base and up untill last month all the traffic was natral and free but after some changes in what i promote on my site and a 1000% incres in what the site makes ( Porn pays lol ) i have been trying to get more members Traffic is not that importent 10000 hits and 10 signups is no where near as good as 100 hits and 50 signups.

    The problem i am having is finding the targeted traffic i have spent money on adverticeing am finding it hit and miss but what i do is only spend a bit each time to trial the traffic so to speak then when you find the traffic that converts for you spend more.

    I am still looking for the best traffic but hopefully soon i will find it
