Hey there, I bought back in April a website I thought had good potential; the guy wanted to get rid of it and I got it for half of monthly income! I spent the time after that revamping it a little bit, and now it's ready. The problem is that the site's popularity went down a whole lot because the previous owner didn't have sufficient support. Now that it's ready, I want to have it spring up again. I have a few ideas in mind but I don't want to waste my time... What white-hat tactics would you recommend ? Site is www.refstop.com. Thanks for your posts, Alex
You should maybe setup a newsletter, could help keep people informed of what's going on. Look for forums where you can advertise your site, there are plenty out there and they're excellent ways to gain members. Maybe host some kind of a giveaway, partner up with a hosting company for example and offer a year of free hosting, that might gain you some interest.
Keep the site to the point, they are testing you out, or they were advertised to join, so don't waste anymore of their time.
