How to re-install android? Need help

    I have Android Pad bought from China, the OS is hang and no response. How can I re-install android OS? I only able to provide below information:

    Android version: 2.2
    Kernel version: 2.6.32
    Build number: v1.1.1
    Brand: unknown

    Additional question, how to check my hardware is compatible with new android OS? How to install it to the device, transfer file from PC? Where to download android OS?

    My device does not have such setting function, any alternative? Yesterday I make further checking, the device itself is Linux, it install with Mac OS, i guess they use Kernel emulator to install android apps and keypad.

    The device brand is unknown, I intend to empty the entire device and re-install with new android OS.

    There are installers available on the official website other then that the Xda-Developers is the best place to get all the detailed information

    if you have android mobile software disk install it in your pc and connect to your mobile and try to update the android os for your mobile
