I wont agree with this

I would add that a combo of 2way (3-4 links per month, maybe less) and 3way links - will look more natural, than just plain 3ways....

think of this!

Nothing new about these tips...You are expected to know these basics...

(Not all of them are correct...)

But this thread has certainly generated some valuable information about seo.

So ....Thanks

-----------------------

Mind you!

You can certainly not Rank 1 for any competitive keyword by using these techniques!

Here is a practical exercise you can do:

Step1: Search for a keyword...say- seo -in Google.
http://www.google.com/search?q=seo&gl=US&pws=0 (search results appearing in US)

Step2: Go to http://www.iwebtool.com/backlink_checker and check for back links to this exact page which ranks no1 in Google for the keyword- seo

...common find out yourself!

If you are talking about Wikipedia, it does not need any links to rank 1 in Google just because it is above the competition. It's just like when Matt Cutts manually alters the SERPS to remove unwanted link brokers from SERPs.

You don't need any new stuff to get top positions in search engines. This has been working for years.

Backlinks have nothing to do with SERP, but with PR.

I think unique c class links is the most important thing in highly competitive terms you can build and keep about 6,000 link in first 3 months of your sites life if they are spread out world wide c classes.

So then, if you're right, when you google a keyword or a keyphrase, you ALWAYS have the highest PR on the number 1 spot and decreasing after that?
A #12 is ALWAYS higher page ranked than the #13 and so on...??

It is easy to see, we could google any word and check...

This is not true :) Just Google any keyword or phrase yourself and check PR of top-10 websites.

Here is a proof that PR has absolutely nothing to do with SERPs:

Key phrase "Marlboro Lights" pulls up 9 domains (we don't count wiki because it's got agreements with G.)

1. 1001cigarettes.com - PR3
2. rateitall.com - PR6
3. urbandictionary.com PR6
4. lowpricecigarettes.co.uk - PR2
5. rwjf.org - PR7
... etc.

People usually don't buy links to increase their PR, they buy links in order to get top positions in SERPs. Again, when it comes to SERPs, people usually don't care about PR
