While there is no secret to rank high in yahoo, a good interlink between different pages of your site will help you rank high in yahoo.

Create lots and lots of backlinks my friend, yahoo doesn't care if they are no-follow or do-follow. It should be easier to get a good ranking on yahoo

If you rank well in Google, you will also rank well in Yahoo! I don't really optimize for Yahoo! anymore. :D

Sign up for a yahoo account and setup your yahoo site explorer - http://siteexplorer.search.yahoo.com/ That is where you can submit your RSS feeds and site maps directly to yahoo.

If you want to rank well in Yahoo, use the tools they provide you. And that starts with site explorer.

I have to agree with ava245, as I find it difficult to get on yahoo.
I have some keywords which rank high on G but yahoo rank them much lower.
If, for example, I get ranked on google on page 3, it means I get on page 8-10 on Yahoo and I'm about to give up.
People say lots of links will do but I can't get 1000's of links as G might penalise me.

Yahoo seems to have rather varying results. One day our sites were on page 1 position 1 and the next week nowhere to be seen. I wouldnt worry so much about optimising for Yahoo as if you rank high in Google, Yahoo rank should follow behind it.
