Yahoo's search algorithm including keywords in the title, description and/or URL you submit to Yahoo boosts your search ranking for those words. After Yahoo introduced click-through tracking on its pages, click popularity has also been said to be an important factor.
I think yahoo is more concentrating on content....have more keyword rich content in your site....that will defenitely help you
Your link is advertising to seoelite;A old page by Brad Callen about search engine (in general) writed to promote his software.Nothing to do with yahoo ranking.
I believe yahoo places some emphasis on changing content vs static content. For example the site that I run ranks top 1-3 in many keywords whereas other sites below are older, have many more links and much higher pagerank. The site uses an oscommerce based package, but the featured selling items are rotated so that "fools" yahoo into thinking the content has changed, but it has not. The site does not rank nearly as well on Google or MSN.
Is there such a thing as "not ranking high" on Yahoo? ALL my sites rank on page 1 on Yahoo, but rarely so for Google. I am actually wondering why this happens: Why Yahoo likes me so much...
Hey Thanx for the article. But i don't see any difference in the factors to be considered. Some say 2% keyword density and others say it should be 5% for yahoo. But overall its a guideline that too much keyword density will also harm the site.
Find as many links as you can. Yahoo likes links of any quality and a lot of content also, updated everyday. May be you can create a blog on the same domain and add it to myyahoo, mymsn, etc. Place links to your internal pages in the blog posts. Check how often Yahoo craws your website. If it comes back everyday it's a good.
Of course there is! For every site ranking high there is one way beyond reachable on the 20th page... I would add my vote to that as well. Age plays a role in how "authoritative" a site is. Granted, older bank accounts with good history get better credit scores. By the way, credit scores and your engine ranking have a lot in common....how much good you're doing for how long plays a big role.
Yahoo is more abt On page Optimization , so do everything which falls under on page optimization and you'll do fine
