How to Rank for your Keywords. (Link Building for Noobs)

I'm sure this topic has been posted before, but some people might not find it or be confused and having trouble with Link Building.

Okay, so you're confused, you want to build links, etc.

Well, listen up. I'm gonna provide you with something awesome.

Within 1 week I was able to rank #1 for each of my keywords. 2 weeks later, they're all PR1's (which is good enough for their purposes)

How did I do this? DoFollow blog commenting. Around 15 comments for each site.

How can you do it? What you do is find DoFollow blogs, and post a comment. For the "Name" part, put the keyword that you are ranking for. This will end up being the anchor text. It is good to mix this up. For instance, if your site is called Cheap Ketchup, be sure to mix it up. Sometimes put "Cheap Ketchup", sometimes put "Ketchup for Cheap", sometimes put "Affordable Ketchup", and etc. Don't use the same anchor too many times.

    Anyways, let's rebuild on that.

Start adding a new comment to the Article.
For Name put your Keyword (mixed up sometimes)
For the URL, put the link to your site. (EX : http:// cheapketchup.com)
For the comment, don't spam. Put a real comment that has to do with the article. The goal is to get the comment to pass moderation, to be good quality, and to last a lifetime.

So where can you find these DoFollow blogs? I use these two links:

    http://www.whydowork.com/blog/blogging-tips/558/
    http://courtneytuttle.com/blogs-that-follow/

Start from the top, and go down. Do maybe 5-10 a day for each site you want to rank. As I said, I only did 15 comments per site and I was on top. But don't stop there. Keep posting every day... The more backlinks you get, the higher PR you get, the better chance of keeping your first spot you have.

Good luck, and if you're just starting out, don't try to rank for sites that are too hard to rank for. Start small ^^.

Just build backlinks with anchor: Your Keyword...

Forum posting, blog commenting is very easy..

    Make 100 backlinks/week and you`ll get high

100 backlinks a week? that is hard work not to mention boring! lol it the blogs you comment on are the same topic as the link you are leaving it will be worth a lot more and you wont have to do that many.

As I said, I got 15 completely unrelated backlinks to all of my sites. PR1's.

An increase in PR doesn't necessarily mean a rise in search ranking.

Well. An Increase in PR is a good thing. But yes, 15 links = PR1 AND I'm on the top for my keywords.

If SEO were to be so easy, everyone will be rich in no time. Unless you are targeting really useless keywords which don't have decent search volume and CPC, it would take at least 1-2 month to see any decent ranking let alone the #1 spot on Google. This is even so even if you have the most uncompetitive keyword because there is a domain age factor in Google's algorithm.

However, getting top 10 within a week is possible but definitely not #1 spot for decent keywords( >1000 searches). If you could prove me wrong, you can perhaps do a brand new site and video the process. I could even pay you to coach me if this is really the case.

I checked out both of those Do-Follow directories you listed. After submission, you get a white screen, and it's hard to tell if your comment was accepted or not. That sucks! Especially when you take the time to write a decent comment. That's a turn off for me. I'll have to check back in a day or so, and see if my comment will finally display. Is this typical. Some of the things that happen when I try to do comment blogging, really turns me off! But if it works, that will be very cool.

@amosgoh Lol wow, I'm not trying to be attacked. You're right, there was theoretically none, or close to none, competition for the keywords that I ranked for. Well, I won't say there was none, because it seems I've been going from 1-3 and back and forth from there on the listings. But whatever, take your trolling elsewhere.

@rc_digitboy The lists are actually not THAT new, so some sites could be less good / a pain in the ass. If a site looks like a pain or isn't working just skip it and go to the next. I had the same issue with some of the sites, but there are good ones in there. Also quite a few of those sites require moderation for posts, but don't be discouraged by that for any reason. 99% of my comments were approved. Just don't make it spammy and you're good.

    @restlesss It's link building for noobs. :D

You got to learn to be more open instead of being so defensive and taking everything too personal. If you read carefully, I did mention that if you are successful in ranking #1 within a week, you could video the process on a brand new site and show it to us. I am not trying to discredit you or something like that. But I got to be honest that from the way you speak, I doubt you are mature enough to make any decent money online. Just another newbie teaching us how to make money

I hate to flame people around in the forum as well because it is useless. Honestly dude, the cheque doesn't prove anything at all. What I am interested in is what makes it possible for you to get a site to #1 within a week. Show it to us with proof such as video instead of just putting in down in words.

There are far too many people coming up with crap information on DP and you can't blame me for being overly reactive over what you have said which is #1 in Google within a week. If you still don't understand the angle I am coming from, I will say no more.

I understand people are BSing lots of crap around here. But I did get on top within a week. This was because there was no competition. Don't see how my 'cheque' isn't proof enough.

Actually the main reason I posted it was because of this comment:

Oh and I'm 17 years old. That's in my brother's name. So hmmmmm. I'm young... so possibly immature. But I'd say that's DECENT for the amount of work I did.
