How to rank for country based google search engine?

Hi,

I have a set of keywords and I am ranking on #1 for them on google.com

But my rankings are 2nd or 3rd at all other regional google search like google.jp, google.in, google.ro etc...

How can i rank #1 on those too, any idea guys?

You need to get backlinks from your country, you could also create a geo-targeted sub domain e.g. au.xxx.com for Australia and create a specific website for a local audience? Also as your main site get stronger it may start to outrank poor quality local sites.

 

Well, i would give you this opinion. If you want to rank high on google.jp you should build backlinks targetted to the country specific domain extension. So you should generate quality backlinks from .jp sites. Just my two cent.

That's what i have done for county specific SEO clients. And guess what, its really works.

 

Do all your SEO with buying a proxy of specific country which your want to rank number#1. I think its also depend on web hosting or server.

 

As some members told you should make backlinks from the websites on each country you want to rank high for it. For example if you want to rank high for France, you should make backlinks from France websites. I mean from websites which are ending to .fr . If you do it, its not needed that you target your website in Google webmaster tools too. Because in Google webmaster tools you only can set one country but by this way, you can optimize your website for as much as country you want.

 

Submit your website in those country based directories. It can increase your website visibility in Google for that country. Another thing you can do is to add some content optimized for those specific countries.

It's very simple mate . If you want good ranking from Google.Uk for your particular keywords, find authoritative sites hosted in UK ,contact them and ask for links.Also do some local directories submission if possible.

If you are rank well in Google.com then you can automatically get a good result in local search engines. Still you want to get a better result in local search engines then collect the quality backlinks from local website...

 

Maybe ad some country symbols in your meta?

 

Try to get more backlinks from the specific ccTLD's where you like to target.
