How to rank for a keyword

Hi i have a specific page which i want to have high rankings, my site is new the keyword is 3 words long for instance "Alloy wheel prices", what methods do you suggest i employ. Should i change the url to;

www.mydomain.com/alloy-wheel-prices.aspx

and what else can i do?

get someone to write articles and submit them to sites like ezinearticles.com, there are several, include a link to your site in the article and stuff it with plenty of your keyword, make sure you put different articles around the sites just change em up a little bit.

 

i find article submitting almost a waste of time. too much hassle and not that much return... you get better results if you post these articles on your website instead of article directories

 

1.Use the keywords a few times in yours pages content.
2.Helps if some of the keywords are in your URL.
3.Make sure your title of your page says "Alloy Wheel Prices" somewhere in it.
4.Submit the page around to bookmarking sites using your Keywords as Anchor link text.
5. Submit to Directories using the same keyword text & other varations

I agree. You can control you on page SEO easily. But it will be more difficult for you to control the external part. And it takes time to build back links.

 

When you are linking to any site, use that url and your 3 word KeyPhrase.
Do it always and soon, you'll rank in that KW.

 

Get alot of back links for that page. You could also try using those keyword on your post.

• get more back link from your target keyword in anchor text.

• maintain keyword density to that page for this keyword.

• put your target keyword in title, description, keywords

• but keep in mind don't use keyword stuffing

I agree with pareshprince, ensure that you have high quality keyword rich content within your page (i look for a minimum of 250 words on a page), with the use of strong tags. Ensure that the key phrase you are targeting is in the title, i personally like to place this at the start of the title.

Start a link building campaign, not only to directories and article submissions, but try to find sites that are related to your niche that will allow you to create a link to your site using your key terms as anchor text. SEO can take time, so be patient, usually an older, trusted domain will rank higher with Google and other SE's than a new domain.

 

write good meta tag and good content you will get your site in listing.

 

Dont forget to use related words in your website content too this is very important.
example on a webpage/site about alloy wheels you should have related words like car, racing, chrome.
