for product I'm not the expert one, but for website you can try this following

make a good content an original one and then submit to directory and article directory, make link exchange, join forum and make an contest that make user came back to your website...

 

Read around the forum mate, there are loads and loads of threads on ways to get traffic. Start by focusing on one, and when you are comfortable with that move onto other methods.
