I saw all those sites with rss feed content... I want to do the same but don't know how to do it. Does any one can give me some step by step instruction how to do this? I really appreciate any help. Also can I select what type of content to be displayed in my site and what are the requirements? Thanks in advance..
There are some scripts out there that allow to do that. I have even seen one posted here on DP in entirety, in the past. Also, some CMS come with content aggregation function (Drupal to name one), you just put in the feed url and it's there.
We use http://www.bigbold.com/rssdigest/ for an easy to implement feed with PHP or javascript code. It has been a good (free) service and is getting better with the much anticipated update. Click below to see example.
edpudol: You could use Magpierss http://magpierss.sourceforge.net/ which I like a lot.. But you could also check here: http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=7354 Plain and simple! (thx yfs1)
hmm... If you know php programming, use magpie to read the feeds and display on your site . If you are not familiar with php then use the feed2js tool at http://jade.mcli.dist.maricopa.edu/. This tool will give you javascript code from rss feed which you can copy paste on your site pages to display the feeds. P.S - try out the feed to javascript tool link at the sig. below. It is a customized version of the feed2js tool. You might like it
The first I tried is CaRP and it worked so well and so easily that I haven't tried another one, not yet at least. I'm quite happy with CaRP and I would recommend it but I haven't compared it to others. Anyway, I'm quite a noob but I got it to work very easily...
He is right, Carp is very easy to setup. Just upload some files and click few buttons and you are ready to feed in RSS.
I suggest this website: http:xml-rss.com It's free and extremely easy. News from any web. Paste it on your web page or facebook easily.
