how to put context-sensitive ads into a web-based application

I have a web-based time management application and I would like the free version of it to be supported by ads. At first I thought this should be as easy as using Google AdSense out of the box. This is what I envisioned: AdSense would look at the tasks created by the user and put in related ads in the ad panel of our software. As it turns out, the problem with that vision is two-fold:

    1) Google AdSense does not immediately analyze the user’s page but merely registers that page in their system and then comes back later to analyze it so that it can come up with related ads. The problem this causes is obvious. The user page where we want the ads to appear is protected by login, so Google can not even access it and even if it could somehow miraculously access it, it wouldn’t the page of which user to go to, since each user has his own blah.html

    2) Our tasks don’t live in the source html of the page, but are added in via javascript.

Also, I've been hearing that Google AdSense is not allowed to be used in web applications, only in websites. So perhaps I should be looking at alternatives to AdSense altogether.

So, at this point, I am not sure how to proceed.

Can anyone point me in the right direction?

    Thanks,

    Alex
