How to put Adsense within Blogger Posts

So I have a few Blogs hosted on Blogger, and I'm trying to put two Adsense Ad's within each post and one of the right side. I tried putting the code of my Adsense Ad on the "Edit HTML" tab while writing the post for blogger, but all that happens is an empty space shows up where I put the code. The Adsense I put on the right column shows up just fine (I used the "Insert Java/Html" option on blogger)

Can someone please help me with this, thank you.

I think if you put it in a post you might have to many ads and it will not show up.

I know you can add it to side of template and even top of first post. If you put it in top of first post in code of template it shows up in every new post.

Is there a little Adsense thing under "Add a Page Element" on Blogger?

yes, there is an Adsense thing, but I've heard for some reason its better to simply paste the script into the Add Javascript/HTML function.

My question is actually regarding putting the Ads WITHIN the post, you can't add any of the BLogger elements into the post. I also do not have more than 3 ads on any of my pages (That is the max I believe right?)

no, you can't execute your ad code withing your posts, you need to use java/html widget and put it around... (or you can define link units under every post).

What if I put one ad on the right, one add at the top, and then check the "Put ad at bottom of every post" box. then I end up with 4 or 5 ads on one page, will Google get mad/ban me for this?
